Today in class:

1. Passed back first 2 quizzes - Constitution Quiz and Reciprocity Quiz, as well as the 2 thinking maps that students completed and corrected. Reviewed all documents relating to these quizzes (see last week's posts for readings).

Many students did not show proficiency in their knowledge of the constitutions of Hawaii and/or the Reciprocity Treaty. Both of these topics are essential to understand the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. As a result, we will be giving them a retake of both quizzes tomorrow.

2. Collected problem/issues circle map.

3. Passed out next Historical Scene Investigation (HSI) - Was the overthrow legal or illegal?

Introduced expectations.
