August 31, 2010 Tuesday

1ST SUMMATIVE WILL BE THIS THURSDAY. STUDENTS SHOULD BE STUDYING WHAT THE MAHELE IS, WHY IT CAME ABOUT ANS THE POLITICAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC EFFECTS.


In class today:


1. Reviewed logs for completeness.


2. Students given a formative to explain why the Mahele started and the social, political, and economic effects of the Mahele on maka'ainana. No notes were given to evaluate whether students understood the causes for the Mahele and the effects.


3. Reviewed with students the formative (multi-flow map). Discussed in class the causes of Mahele (left side of Multi-flow map).




Homework:


1. Study what the Mahele is and revise flow map of Mahele (Mr. Wong's class).

2. Review Mahele and Effects. Detective logs (Mr. Oyama's class)
