In class today:

1. Took Quiz on Chatper 12.
2. Assigned debate topics to each student.
3. Students are to research and complete debate organizer for Monday.

*possible research topics are given on Page 2 of the debate organizer, students may also get other historical events to back up their stance on their topic.


Homework:


Research for debate, be prepared to share with team mates your findings. Debate will take place on Tuesday, May 3rd.

1. Complete Debate sheet on their assigned topic.

1. Students were assigned novel we will be reading - The Bomb by Theodore Taylor.

They are responsible for assigned readings and homework.

2. Students were also given a Student Workbook that accompanies the book, daily reading schedule and homework will be completed in this workbook.





Homework:

1. Read Chapter 2 and complete response activities (questions and sketch). Be sure to fill in cultural aspects in back of workbook for each chapter you read.

1st day of 6th Term!
Welcome back!
In class today:
1. Reviewed the 9 types of governments of the Pacific Islands.
2. Made flap study notes of each of the governments.

HW: Study for quiz. Students must know each type of government and be able to compare and contrast similarities and differences between governments. (Independent?, able to make local and global laws, how are leaders put in office, relationship with foreign country "big fish", etc.)

Quiz will be several Venn Diagrams.
