*We had computers in the class today. All 16 of them. Thanks Mr. Kardash. Students were helping each other look back at their sources and filling in Ms. Sanchez's worksheet.

*Homework: Finish citation worksheet by tomorrow
*Final day to turn in Jump Rope for Heart Envelopes.

In Class:

*Students given back their drafts of their research guide thinking map with feedback
*Went over common mistakes seen and gave example of thinking map that was expected since students had a hard time filling out some parts of the map
*Time to research and make corrections to partner maps

Homework:

1. Revise all maps (due by tomorrow at beginning)
2. Start turning in Jump Rope for Heart monies

*Students were at the computer lab researching their 2nd and/or 3rd solutions. (Depending on student pairings)

Homework:

none (tomorrow will be the last day to research on the internet at school).

I will be passing back student solutions for those that turned in on Friday and today.

Monday March 5 to Friday March 9

Sorry everyone. My blog has been down for the week.

Just a recap for the week:

*students started their problem/solution research benchmark by choosing an island and learning about its problem
*students then partnered up when they do the display board
*students started researching in the library from Wednesday on their 1st solution. (in order to research a solution to their island problem, they need to research what Hawaii is currently doing).
*websites and possible solutions given to the students to help them out.

1st solutions were due at the end of class on Friday.

*Continued presentations today
*Informed students that a sign up will be posted tomorrow for those that want to come in during recess to review for make up summative sessions. All students notified of who should be signing up.
*Collected late Teenbiz articles (last day tomorrow)

Homework:

1. Practice presentations
2. Collect American Heart
3. Turn in late teenbiz articles by tomorrow. LAST DAY!
