2. Complete M.I. Intelligence activity by tomorrow - will present in class

*Went over M.I. Intelligence activity (students will be learning about the inequity of jobs on the plantation)
*Students given time in class to read the article about the inequity in the plantation and start activity (Planters and Workers)
*Collect Final Draft of Stanza 1 and 1st draft of Stanza 4

Homework:

1. Complete M.I. Activity. Only with interpersonal and mathematical activities have another day to finish. All others will be due tomorrow.

*Went over how to improve Stanza 1 Ballad
1. Words needs to rhyme (last word in lines 2 & 4)
2. 4+ words needed per line
3. List down 7 groups that came (not all on 1 line)
4. Explain why groups were needed on plantation
5. 1 sentence per line instead of cutting off a sentence

Use following format if still confused:

Line 1: Discuss groups that came
Line 2: Discuss why they were needed
Line 3: Discuss groups that came
Line 4: Discuss why they were needed

Switch order if you want

Homework:

1. Revise Stanza 1 on folder paper
2. Complete Stanza 4 (change cultural diffusion to assimilation) - Discuss plantation pidgin in this Stanza

*Explained cubing activity today. Students read about the pidgin that was used in the plantation and rolled a cube. Each side of the cube had an activity that students needed to complete

*Students wrote down their schedule of what they did daily. They the read an article about Henry Akana "Plantation Days". Students need to do a double bubble and compare and contrast their daily life.
